Three screen solutions - GP Powerplants in De Lier
At GP Powerplants in De Lier, specialized in Kalanchoe cultivation, an existing greenhouse has been renovated and adapted to meet the requirements of modern cultivation. Phormium Sales Manager Arjan van der Veer recently visited the company and was given a tour of the renovated greenhouse by Pietro van Genderen and his son Sander.
In the 7,000 m² propagation area, Huisman Screen Systems installed three different Phormium screens: PhormiTex Noctis Thermo, Lumina 50 Open and Bright+. Each screen has its own specific function within the greenhouse climate strategy.
Three screens, each with its own purpose:
- PhormiTex Noctis Thermo is used as an assimilation screen. The aluminium screen helps to keep the light from the assimilation lighting inside the greenhouse, while also providing a high level of energy saving.
- PhormiTex Lumina 50 Open provides effective diffusion of natural light. Its open structure also allows optimal air movement within the greenhouse.
- PhormiTex Bright+ is a clear and strong energy-saving screen, designed to allow as much natural light as possible into the greenhouse while providing a high level of insulation.
Together, these three screen solutions give GP Powerplants different options to manage light, energy and climate according to the specific needs of Kalanchoe cultivation.
